I switched off 3G and put my GSM only setting in and get a brilliant battery life now

The fact the guy in the shop said, on seeing I had a K800i, 'software problem?' and didn't even need to ask what the matter was when I took it to be repaired says it all I think!

A good phone if you are taking pictures. Not very reliable in making phone calls though, especially if you are on the 3 network. Would recommend this phone for people who like to take photos, else don't bother as most of the cost of this camera is probably for the 3.2MP camera. The poor battery life really hinders the camera for heavy users.
Like I said I would recommend this camera but NOT for people who don't wish to exp ...

Excellent phone, excellent features, the K800i is well worth the money in terms of quality and value. Excellent battery life even when using video and camera lots. I would highly recommend!

Sony Ericsson K800i is a wonderful phone, superb picture facility, radio and all the usual features work to a high spec. The camera is capable of taking images that can be enlarged, without showing pixelation, to A5 size which is larger than most photographs get printed to.

All in all, the K800i is a great phone, which I certainly have recommended to everyone. Having dabbled with Samsung and Motorola, which I though good at the time, I would now keep returning to Sony Ericsson.
